The design of this unusual cutting board is taken from one that Julia Child used on her televised cooking shows in the mid-1960s. It has sweeping curved ends, an extra wide well, and plenty of room to work. It is supported by four maple felt-padded feet one inch high.

This piece is available in two combinations of wood, maple and jatoba as pictured, or maple and walnut. It is also available in two sizes.

The standard size as pictured is 16.75 inches wide, 20 inches long, 2 inches thick, and priced at $250 in either combination of woods. The large size for dual use as a server is 16.75 inches wide, 24 inches long, 2 inches thick, and priced at $300 in either combination of woods.

Julia Child (1912 - 2004) is a legendary figure in the history of food in America. As chef, author, and television personality, she introduced French cuisine and cooking techniques to the American public. She wrote 18 cookbooks, beginning in 1961 with Mastering the Art of French Cooking. She is well remembered for her pioneering food show, The French Chef, which premiered on public television station WGBH Boston, in 1963.
